What is the RSPO Smallholder Training Academy?
The RSPO Smallholder Training Academy (“the Academy”) aims to enable oil palm smallholders worldwide to move
towards more sustainable livelihoods through building their capacity – and that of organisations supporting
them – by providing access to high quality training, training guides and materials and building a global(master)
trainer community. Organisations and individuals joining as Partners get free access to Master Training,
Training Guides, and programme support.
Why does the Academy matter to you?
Any organisation or individual working with oil palm smallholders across the globe may benefit from what the Academy offers.
The Academy offers master training on a wide range of topics around sustainability (people, planet, and prosperity) for experienced trainers.
It offers training resources to train smallholders and group organisers/managers,
and smallholder programme managers/designers in six languages (English, French, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish and Thai).
The Academy connects and unites its Partners in their efforts to train smallholders by facilitating peer support and exchange,
offering online training resources, and technical support on training programme design and roll-out.
The Academy is an initiative of RSPO as part of its Roadmap to Empowering Smallholders, focusing on improving sustainable livelihoods of smallholders worldwide.
The Academy Management Team is made up of members of the RSPO Smallholder Unit.
